An offshore sailing course for mile building purpose or a sailing adventure, leaving from Marina Cala de' Medici (near Pisa airport, close to Livorno). We sail past Capraia, all the way around Corse, and back with a possible stop at Elba Island. The cruise will go clockwise or anti-clockwise depending upon wind and weather conditions. A number of stops will be made in beautiful places. Capraia, Giraglia trock, St. Florent, Calvi or Bonifacio, maybe a dip into the Caprera archipelago and possibly back via Elba. A beautiful cruise of 350 nautical miles at least. Together with a RYA Yachtmaster certified skipper, you will learn how to prepare a boat for a long passage and make a good briefing on safety on board; plan an offshore passage using meteo-routing softwares and techniques; how to manage shifts during a no-stop leg; how to make a good watchkeeping; how to be a in charge, take decisions and manage the crew and unpredictable situations at sea.
